I feel in love with Lauren from Wifestyles burlap knot wreath a few months ago that I just had to have one for my front door. You think I'm kidding but I'm being 100% real with you.
I went that day to get the material and things I needed to do this project.
Well, I tried and I tried to tie the knots all pretty like she did and I ended up having to sit it down because I was getting so frustrated with it.
My burlap was fraying and I was getting so aggravated with it.
So, while my mom was over the other night I asked her to see if she had a better technique than I did.
She did and we got it finished in seriously 30 minutes.
All I needed was my momma's help. Duh.

Materials Needed:
Materials Needed:
Burlap
A Wire Wreath (I got mine at Hobby Lobby)
Ribbon
A Metal Letter
2.
Begin tying the burlap around the metal wreath.
Begin tying the burlap around the metal wreath.
(Mine had four circles around the outer edge so we just switched back and forth from the front two to the back two.) If you get frustrated lay it down and go back to it. Once you get the hang of it, it's super simple.
3.
Once the burlap is completely tied around the wreath you can either tie ribbon to the wreath like I did (so I can change the wreath depending on the time of year) and you can use craft wire to hang the metal letter. You could also use a hot glue gun, I just preferred not to this time.

Do you love it as much as I do?
Now Spring needs to get hurrrr so I can do something DIY-ish to my front porch!
I'm also dying to paint our front door. KC isn't thrilled about this like I am.

ReplyDeleteThis is adorable and I am so going to make this! I have 45 yards of burlap that we were supposed to use for our wedding celebration before we had to cancel it so now I have a craft to use it for! (well some of it anyways)
